The photographs of Stephan Haley are unique to say the least. His latest series of large format prints includes images of art enthusiasts photographing (or reflecting upon) popular works at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Haley describes his innovative printing technique: “My imagery is controlled by a myriad of settings on the printer, becoming my palette. I make decisions regarding the conception of the work within the settings of the printer. I can “devolve” a subject beyond personal recognition or subtly create a painterly version of the digital image… pushing/pulling between painting and the photographic realm, bring the painted surface to meld with the photographic.”

Stephan’s work has been exhibited in a number of museums and galleries in the Boston area, include the Danforth Museum, the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury and the Bancroft Gallery of the South Shore Art Center. FOCUS Gallery displays works from his Museum of Modern Art series.
